I'm very happy with how this came out and so is she. I had her try it on this morning and it obviously needs some stabilization around the neck, so I'm finishing that up. I do! Yes, most days there's yarn to be found on the shelves, but it's usually acrylic rug hooking yarn (does anyone actually use that stuff anymore?) or a 6 oz. skein of Red Heart for $2. I'm not such a fiber snob that I turn my nose up at acrylic, but why would I pay retail at the thrift store? Makes no sense. So last week I got lucky and found some nice little skeins of pink cotton/polyester that will work nicely for the Munchkin. I'm thinking something along the lines of <a href="http://knitmepretty.blogspot.com/2008/05/gg-shrug-pattern-wip.html">this</a> - something she won't outgrow in a week.
